Our Governors play an important role in the life of the College and perform a number of essential statutory duties. They help to raise the standards of pupil achievement and plan the school's future direction. Governors are also accountable for the performance of the school to parents and the wider community.
There are 18 Governors who make up the full Board of Governors at Kelsey Park Sports College. They have a range of backgrounds; there are 4 parent Governors; 2 Elected Members; and 12 others who have been elected from the local community.
The full Governing Body meets 4 times each year while a number of sub-committees meet at least twice throughout the school year.
Governing Body minutes
Each Governor is obliged to link specifically with one curriculum area and hold a particular area of responsibility for an aspect of the College.
