KPSC re-cycles unused cycles.
13/11/2009

A successful partnership between Lewisham Police Station and Kelsey Park Sports College will provide young people the opportunity to experience cycling as part of their PE curriculum.
Over recent months, officers at Lewisham Police Station have recovered a significant number of bicycles, many of which have not been claimed by their rightful owners. However, instead of the Bikes being locked up in a compound, the College has set up a scheme that will allow students to benefit from them. KPSC is aiming to set up a British Cycling ‘go ride’ club.
With the help of SE20 cycles in Penge, the bikes are being checked for safe use and will be available for Physical Education lessons by January. The Kelsey and Eden Safer Neighbourhood team is also assisting the College by helping to introduce cycle maintenance workshops as well as providing the opportunity for students to learn about property marking.
